Revealing value in people and product, one transaction at a time.
A social enterprise of Neighborhood Industries
Neighborhood Thrift began in 2008 with the goal of having a positive economic impact in the south Fresno area. Soon after launching, we realized that what people in the neighborhoods really needed were jobs, and the proper employment training and workforce development services to obtain these jobs. This is when we arrived at our mission, “To operate businesses that reveal value in people so they can be a positive contributors in their homes and neighborhoods.”

your donations at work
Your Donations provide valuable job training opportunities and result in direct investment into Fresno neighborhoods of concentrated poverty.
We receive your donations.
Donations are then sorted and priced by our production team.
Once priced, the merchandising team places donations on the sales floor.
Customers are greeted by our smiling sales team, and their items are checked out at the register.
This results in paychecks for our employees and the satisfaction of a job well done.
In 2023, Neighborhood Industries distributed $2.1M into Fresno’s poorest neighborhoods, one paycheck at a time.
Rewear. Repurpose. Recycle.
Any clothing or textiles that are not wearable (for example: stains/large rips etc) are processed at Neighborhood Recycling and shipped to companies that will turn it into cleaning clothes, shop rags, carpet padding and other recyclable material.
We also disassemble and recycle non-working electronics!
